PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Create a 12 month calendar for Anna Maria College's 75th Anniversary. This calendar features themes based on the college's values, honored faculty, and student life.

The Anna Maria College branding sheet was given to the artists, along with the new 75th anniversary logo. The images were curated by a small team on the anniversary committee and the graphic designers used them within the appropriate months.
PROJECT TIMELINE
November 1st 2020 - December 15th 2020
TEAM SIZE
3 graphic designers, one designer joined the last week of the project.

MY ROLE
I created the grid system for the calendar and devised the typographic hierarchy within the piece. This template was sent to the other designers to use, as we needed the whole piece to look consistent from page to page.
After making the template, I created 7 out of the 12 months. A graphic design student used my template and created the remaining months.
MY ROLE CONT.
I assisted the graphic design student. He had never taken the Editorial Design course, thus did not know many features on InDesign. He picked the program up quickly and completed many good looking layouts.
I helped translate the needs of the client in terms of design, so he could properly make revisions on his pieces. I also gave him constructive feedback to make our work look as consistent as possible.
PROJECT CRITIQUES
The mini calendars were introduced in the last week of the project. These were designed by another graphic designer who was brought into the project in the last week. If I could improve on these designs, I would pay closer attention to fixing the spacing of the mini calendars. They would have a standard size that would fit into the grid system more accurately. They were an after thought of the committee and I believe it is apparent in the designs.
PROJECT CRITIQUES CONT.
Although consistency was one of the main focuses of the team, I believe we could have been more successful with better forms of communication. There were no in-person meetings due to the Covid-19. Anna Maria College's campus was closed during this project's development.

The clients asked for gradient fades and round features on only a few pages. We followed their desires.
PROJECT RESULTS
This project was viewed as a success by the Anna Maria College 75th Anniversary Committee and President Ratelle. The calendar was sent out to the AMC board of trustees, and many other faculty members.
