PillPal

Google UX Project 3

In this project, I chose to focus my second responsive design element on the smartwatch, as it’s one of the most popular and convenient devices for receiving medication notifications. Smartwatches provide quick, subtle reminders directly on the wrist, making it easier for users to stay on track without relying solely on their phones. This approach ensures seamless accessibility and timely alerts, empowering users to prioritize their health in a discreet and practical way.

User Profiles

I created a user persona to understand the target audience's needs and frustrations. By walking through their journey, I empathized with their challenges and developed a goal statement for my app to address their needs.

Our goal is to design an intuitive medication reminder app that integrates across devices, offers flexible notification options, and provides personalized features to support users in maintaining their medication routines reliably and stress-free.

Sitemap

I developed a sitemap to map out the website's structure, organizing the pages and navigation flow to create a clear and intuitive user experience.

Wireframe

I began the wireframing process with paper sketches to quickly explore layout ideas. After selecting the simplest, most user-friendly designs, I recreated them digitally in Adobe XD. Initially, I used Figma, but after my course agreement ended, I transitioned to Adobe XD. Learning how to transfer designs between Figma and XD was crucial, as it helped me understand how the two tools connect and complement each other.

Mockup

I created a visual mockup of the website to showcase the complete design style, including layout, colors, typography, and imagery.

Watch Mockup

I adapted the mobile mockup to a watch design by considering the watch’s dark screen and simplifying interactions to swipes and taps for ease of use. The neon color palette worked well on the watch’s screen, providing clear visibility and vibrant contrast in the smaller, darker display.

Prototypes

I connected the frames to test the user flow for adding a reminder and locating the medication list, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience. I then created a video of the watch mockup to showcase the simple, user-friendly design that could be easily followed by a wide range of users.

Designers Note: Regrettably, the inconsistent leading on this website is a result of Wix presets, which I share your concern about.
